‘South Indian Social History Research Institute’ is a Chennai (India) based private research institution studying the history of south India.

We need a multi-disciplinary approach to understand the south Indian history. Our research team currently comprises of historians, epigraphists, archaeologists, social scientists and technocrats. We are planning to recruit members from other disciplines also.

Our aim is to deconstruct the false theories and pseudo Messiahs dominating the study of South Indian social history and to rewrite a more sensible one. We are all set to publish books in both Tamil and English. The first book will be available in November 2009.
